This patient presented with acid reflux, forward tongue posture, generalized tooth wear from nocturnal bruxism, minimal tooth display when smiling, and an anterior open bite where the upper and lower front teeth didn’t meet. He wanted a solution to restore both the function and appearance of his smile.
Restoring Smile Length and Function
After reviewing his options, we decided on restorative crowns for the upper front eight teeth. This approach allowed us to increase the length of the teeth, improve the bite, and enhance esthetics. A custom nightguard was provided to protect both his natural teeth and the new restorations from nocturnal grinding.
This case is a powerful example of how restorative dentistry can not only address severe tooth wear and functional issues but also create a more youthful, balanced, and esthetically pleasing smile.
